The influence of temperature on media and pump selection
The changes of the physical and chemical properties caused by the change of temperature can sometimes be reversed, sometimes not. Therefore it is often critical to secure a constant temperature of the media throughout the conveying process to maintain the product quality. Pumps can therefore be equipped with heating or cooling devices.
On the other hand media is often pumped with changing temperatures. It is important to know this temperature range to calculate tolerances or to include monitoring and setting devices which allow to adapt to the media changes to ensure safe and reliable conveyance.
