Pump test facility

Manufacturers use a pump test facility to test their products in depth, for example, in the framework of the final inspection or to provide customers the option of performing acceptance tests as proof of warranty. For this different characteristic pump sizes are measured.

The versatile application options and operating conditions for pumps are reflected in different types of test stands, which range from simple function test stands up to complex test installations.

Manufacturers have to follow applicable standards in the planning of test facilities. In addition, they have to plan their test setups as well as measuring instruments and devices according to the pump being tested. Measurements include, for example, speeds, pressures, vibrations of the power absorbed and output.

The pump test, which is performed on test facilities, allows manufacturers to verify different transport and performance data, collect information as the basis for improvements and further development of products, and test whether their products are working efficiently.
