With digitally optimized processes into a more sustainable future

PUMPS & VALVES and other trade fairs 2023 in Dortmund

Trade shows Pumps & Valves, Solids and Recycling-Technik 2023 in Dortmund

On 29th & 30th March 2023 the Messe Dortmund will open its doors for the parallel trade shows PUMPS & VALVES and SOLIDS & RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund. The overarching key themes of this year's event of digitalization, sustainability and process optimization intertwine seamlessly. Well-founded expert presentations and selected theme routes inform the trade show audience about current trends and solutions.

Visitors benefit from the synergy effects of the three trade shows taking place together. The common denominator: handling liquids, granules, powders and bulk solids. Exhibitors will answer questions on all relevant topics, from processing and reprocessing to returning raw materials to the cycle.

Circular economy becomes a must

"Against a backdrop of increasing raw material scarcity, greater environmental impact and rising energy costs, the pressure on the industry remains high. The call for sustainable, more circular and energy-efficient products is getting louder and companies are challenged to quickly lay the foundations for this," emphasizes Anna Lena Sandmann, Exhibition Manager PUMPS & VALVES, SOLIDS & RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund from organizer Easyfairs Deutschland GmbH. "Decision makers are looking for new opportunities. A visit to the trade show and direct dialog with exhibitors is certainly one of the most effective ways to meet their information needs."

At PUMPS & VALVES Dortmund, trade show for industrial pumps, valves and processes, trade visitors will find a comprehensive range of central process technology components - from pumps to valves to sealing systems and much more.

At the parallel SOLIDS Dortmund, trade show for granules, powders and bulk solids technologies and the RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund, trade show for recycling technologies, everything revolves around the world of process and recycling technology. Companies will present technologies and solutions for the entire value chain of mechanical processing technology for fine to coarse-grained materials, as well as for the reprocessing and environmentally compatible disposal of waste products.

In four halls, companies, service providers and research institutions will present their innovations and process engineering solutions for a consistent and sustainable recycling economy. Among the exhibitors will be Atlas Copco Power Technique GmbH, Barradas GmbH, Börger GmbH, DI MATTEO Förderanlagen GmbH & Co. KG, Ebro Armaturen Gebr. Bröer GmbH, DICKOW PUMPEN GmbH & Co. KG, EDUR-Pumpenfabrik Eduard Redlien GmbH & Co. KG, Flux-Geräte GmbH, grün-pumpen gmbh, Hecht Technologie GmbH, LEWA Deutschland GmbH, Lutz Pumpen GmbH, MUNSCH Chemie-Pumpen GmbH, NETZSCH Pumpen & Systeme GmbH, SECOPTA analytics GmbH, sera GmbH, Siemens AG, Sodeco Armaturen GmbH, Spaleck GmbH & Co., VOGELSANG GmbH & Co. KG and WITTE PUMPS & TECHNOLOGY GmbH.

Lectures on the pulse of time

In addition to the exhibition, the three technology shows will once again offer trade visitors a top-class supporting programme. In numerous lectures, experts from industry and research will shed light on current topics in the sectors. Partners and speakers such as Thomas Dimmers, Managing Director of Pump Consult Düsseldorf, keynote speaker Prof. Dr.-Ing. Marius Geller from Dortmund University of Applied Sciences, RWTH Aachen University, Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Dortmund University of Technology and Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Ruhr-OWL, among others, will ensure a comprehensive transfer of information on a scientific level.

One of the top topics is condition monitoring with, among others, a presentation by the company LEWA Deutschland GmbH on the topic of "Monitoring and early fault detection for canned motor pumps" and a presentation by the company EBRO ARMATUREN Gebr. Bröer GmbH on the topic of "Preventive maintenance - How is the valve doing?".

In addition, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Marius Geller, FH Dortmund, will give a presentation on "The potential of modern computer simulation for product development, using examples from mechanical engineering to biomedicine" and Thomas Dimmers, Managing Director of Pump Consult Düsseldorf, will talk about "Good planning and maintenance for efficient pump systems". A highlight will be Thomas Dimmers' workshop in the afternoon on the subject of "The speed-controlled drive for centrifugal pumps "Curse and blessing".

New ImpulsCenter stage looks beyond the horizon

New this year is the ImpulsCenter in Hall 5. The new lecture stage is aimed at trade visitors who are looking for new impulses and food for thought for their everyday work. In addition to top-class specialist presentations, the program will also be enriched by keynote speakers from outside the industry, from the world of soccer or management consulting. Topics such as leadership management or industry trends such as process optimization, digitalization and sustainability will thus be given special attention on both days of the show.

Among the key note speakers this year are two quite exceptional speakers. In their lecture "YNWA - You'll never work alone", former professional football player Erik Meijer and leadership expert Dr. Holger Schmitz will provide insights into their profession and draw inspiring parallels between successful companies and professional football.

Theme routes and explosive highlights

Those who would like to gain an overview on their own will find their way around the exhibition's planned theme routes. Along these, visitors will meet selected exhibitors and receive information on important issues. In addition to details on sustainability or process optimization, the tours also offer valuable aspects on digitalization or industrial fire and explosion protection. The latter will find its explosive climax on the outdoor exhibition area. Here, REMBE® will be staging impressive live explosions on both days, providing an impressive demonstration of the risks that lurk in everyday industrial life.
