Nicolaus Krämer new chairman of the VDMA Pumps + Systems
Nicolaus Krämer is the new chairman of the VDMA Pumps + Systems trade association. The members voted the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer of HERMETIC-Pumpen GmbH into office at the general meeting in Freiburg at the end of April.
Nicolaus Krämer has been supporting the interests of the pump industry for many years – previously as the chairman of the Economic Committee on Pumps. He sees the main points of focus for the next few years in further internationalization of the trade association, the opportunities of digitalization for the branch as well as the challenges posed by climate protection. He sees concrete chances for the branch especially in the “Manufacturing-X” initiative which should enable the development of a secure and independent online data environment for product and production data of the German and European industry. Krämer also aims to push on the work of the Digitalization Work Group under the management of the VDMA Pumps+ Systems in the European branch association EUROPUMP.
Dr. Stephan Bross, Chief Technical Officer of KSB SE & Co. KGaA, was appointed Vice-Chairman. The general board of the VDMA Pumps + Systems consists of a total of 15 leading figures of the pump industry.
VDMA Pumps + Systems represents the interests of more than 110 manufacturers in this sector to operator organizations, the public, national and international authorities and other business circles. The trade association is incorporated into the VDMA network with regional subsidiaries and central departments and is guided by the requirements of the branch.
