Support for the local cultural scene to bridge the time of the restrictions
2020 will forever be remembered as the year of the pandemic: Hardly any area of life was spared the effects of Covid-19. "Seeing how restaurants, bars and all cultural institutions around you have to close down and in some cases their existence is threatened makes you sad, but of course also thoughtful," says Kai Stegemann, Managing Director of Star Pump Alliance GmbH. For this reason, Star Pump Alliance has decided to support the local cultural sector: This year, the annual Christmas donation of 1,500 euros will go to the Fabrik-Theater Wettringen.
The donation is therefore intended to help the association bridge the gap until the reopening. "We are looking forward to the first production after the restrictions and hope that the Factory Theater will soon be able to give us pleasant hours again with its performances. A return to everyday life is, after all, what we all want most for Christmas this year," Stegemann said.
In the summer, the factory theater has shown flexibility and held many outdoor concerts in the Wettring beer garden and at Wettring's Heimathaus. However, in winter and with stricter regulations, even these open-air performances are no longer possible. "We would like to thank the Star Pump Alliance for this unexpected gift at the end of the year. It will be an additional motivation for our members to go into the new year with positive thoughts and to soon leave these so difficult times behind us." Herbert Grevinga from the board of the Factory Theater emphasized.
